First time ever!  Get your free portraits taken on tintype.  Installation up at treehouse 5/23-6/26/15

Lenny Kaholo will be shooting 6cm x 6cm tintype portraits with a Holga camera at the treehouse courtyard. You can see it all happen & develop in front of your eyes.  The portraits will be displayed in treehouse as a growing photo exhibition, with each one added to the display as the day progresses.  It will be showcased for a month.  You will be able to purchase yours for $10 at the end of the installation.

Those of you who don’t know about tintype (or wetplate photography), here’s a brief description (taken from Wikipedia):

Tintype is a photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal coated with a dark lacquer or enamel and used as the support for the photographic emulsion. Tintypes enjoyed their widest use during the 1860s and 1870s, but lesser use of the medium persisted into the early 20th century and it has been revived as a novelty in the 21st.
