There are plenty of films on the market that advertise themselves as low light situations BW film but none of them perform the way HP5+ does when pushed.  The latitude and ability to shoot and capture detail in the shadows and highlights in situations where there is no light is unparalleled.  Move over, Ilford 3200 or Kodak Tri-X pushed, HP5+ rules the night and I’ll show you how.

We will cover :
1. Metering for any lighting situation
2. Pushing your film (1/2/3/4 stops)
3. Rating your film (400/800/1600/3200/6400)
4. How a $7 gray card will become your best friend
5. Ins and outs of using YOUR light meter (internal or hand held)
6. A push towards leaf shutter cameras and WHY

Lecture & presentation at treehouse for an hour, then we’ll go out & shoot a bit under the street lights & dark of Kaka’ako.
